eyelet white and denim

Today is Friday and that means tomorrow is finally Halloween! I hope you all have been celebrating by carving pumpkins or watching scary movies in preparation for this holiday. I've been getting the last uses of some of my summer clothes while the weather remains hot. My white eyelet midi (similar) is a LOFT find {it was only $5.00!} and my classic denim jacket can be found from Joe Fresh for only $20.00. My lipstick color is great for the fall because it is a nice berry tone. It is also a drugstore find and costs around $5.00! Wishing you a great weekend ahead!

SHOP MY FAVORITES:

what I want wednesday

what I want from: target

leg warmers // reversible tote // lemon verbena candle
rain boots // alba botanica face mask // rise and shine mug

Target is such a phenomenal store. They have clothing, Starbucks, a pharmacy section, a beauty section, and an app where you can scan items to see if they are on sale! I suggest you download the Cartwheel app to save some extra money! It has definitely saved me a few bucks here and there.

Some things that are on my wishlist are some cute leg warmers for my boots! These are only $6.00, too! I also have been loving those cute Free People/Urban Outfitters leather totes but this one is a cheaper option. Soy candles like this $7.00 are my favorite because they cleaner than other ones. Rain boots are great for this season and this grey pair is under $40! I also tried a face scrub from alba botanica so I am interested in trying more from this natural brand. My last item is a cute inexpensive mug that says "rise and shine". I collect mugs for all my tea drinking mornings so this one is an excellent and affordable addition! Have a great day friends!

a visit to the pumpkin patch

Good Monday morning friends! I hope you are all as excited as I am for Halloween this weekend. I am actually going to Tampa to see Taylor Swift's final concert on Saturday night, and I am SO pumped. With that in mind I wanted to make time to visit a pumpkin patch this weekend to continue the Halloween fun.

I am obsessed with Caitlin's looks from southercurlsandpearls.com  because she always has the cutest mix of patterns and chic accessories on! She inspired me to purchase this poncho from Target and I am so glad I did. It has great accents-like little fringe work at the bottom!-and is incredibly comfortable. I plan on wearing it out when the weather cools down more, too. My white jeans are from JCPenney and are currently on sale for $27! It was so difficult for me to find white pants because I wanted them to be both affordable and stretchy and this pair is a winner in my book. I also fit my camera, wallet, and everything else in my favorite Kate Spade satchel from my summertime shopping in NY. Thanks for visiting!

SHOP MY FAVORITES:

pinks and grays

It's Friday everyone! Today I have a slightly more "fall" look to share...something I picked up last week is this cozy Aeropostale open-front cardigan in a grey color. It was only $7.00! I am still seriously obsessed with peeking at their clearance racks instead of only limiting myself to places like Forever 21. I love how easily the grey tone of the cardigan fits into a lot of my fall looks, and paired with my LOFT sweater it made for a perfect school outfit. My jeans are some American Eagle jeggings that have been a staple in my wardrobe this season. When I don't want to carry my large backpack around, I opt for my H&M tote that is huge and fits all my school supplies! This tote I picked up last year, but I have some more similar picks below! Enjoy your weekend!

stripes + blues

As much as I would love to wear the new fall items I just purchased from Target, like this poncho and this cardigan, temperatures keep creeping up into the 80s here! In this post I am featuring a cute combination of stripes and my watercolor blue scarf.  This is one of my favorite ways to transition summer into fall! My striped top is super cheap from Joe Fresh for $16.00 and my denim shorts can be found at Forever 21 for under $20.00. How do YOU transition from summer into fall!?

removing makeup + other new beauty finds

I have found some new beauty favorites that I want to share with you today. These cheap face wipes are great for removing eye makeup! Also, the Origins brand is one that I have been loving lately. They sell these products at Sephora and in Dillards, and some cities have separate Origins shops. Two items that I purchased when the store was having a deal where you got $25 off when you spent $60 or more were the Clear Improvements charcoal mask and the Modern Friction Dermabrasion Scrub. I have been using the mask every week and I like how the product makes my skin feel super soft after each use. I haven't noticed any dramatic results, but I do see how the mask works deep into my skin to pull out all the bad stuff! The scrub is a gentle one that gets all the dead skin off my face and works to even out my skin.

A crazy good find that I bought at TJ Maxx {for $6!} last weekend was this Alba Botanica Acnedote face and body scrub. Oh man do I love it! The smell is very natural and the texture is made up of tiny little brown scrubbing beads. It has a combination of salicylic acid and willow bark extract to help combat break outs. Only after two days of using this product I saw results! My skin was already clearing up and feeling so much softer. I am definitely interested in trying out more from this brand...

boscia charcoal face sponge // LUSH "mask of magnaminty" face mask // LUSH mint julips scrub // palmer's cocoa butter formula daily calming lotion // thayer's lemon witch hazel toner

How I wash my face is by using this Boscia Charcoal face sponge. They are $15.00 at Sephora and last for around 3-4 months. I absolutely love using this day and night because it helps foam up my products and is not too abrasive on my skin. When I need a deep pore cleaning I go to my LUSH mask that is minty and really works well to dry up excess oils on my skin! My toner that I apply after I wash my face is a Thayer's Witch Hazel and I am currently using the lemon scent. I always apply a face lotion and I recently repurchased this $7.00 Palmer's Daily Calming lotion.

These are some of my new finds, let me know what skin care products you have in your arsenal!

new fall must-haves

most wanted fall pieces

Happy Friday friends! Here I've gathered some fall inspiration for you. Long drapey cardigans are nice added touches to an outfit that needs more color or maybe just some warmth. This casual heathered cardi is from Nordstrom and is on sale for $32. Ripped jeans are a must-have for the fall! Not only do they help with the weird temperature changes {thanks, Florida for highs into the 80s!} but they instantly tone down your look into one that exudes a relaxed vibe. I am obsessed with this gorgeous Kendra Scott necklace! The large white stones would look beautiful against someone with tan skin. Vests are also huge this fall and this $41 white vest from Neiman Marcus is so chic!

denim skirt + a flowy blouse

This is an outfit from my weekend adventures with my family! We went to a cute local market, walked around the downtown area of my city, and even trekked 45 minutes to see a lighthouse. I bought this Charlotte Russe button up skirt on Friday and wore it out on Saturday! They were having a sale on ALL skirts priced at $15.00, so I had to find one that I liked. I finally decided on this Refuge one because it fit very nicely and was stretchy which is something I look for in my denim. White flowy tops are a fall essential and this one is from Aeropostale and was under $5.00 {I have some similar ones posted below!}. I am loving this Forever 21 top that has cut-outs on the shoulders for under $25!

october monday makeup favorites

current october makeup faves

1 // 2 // 3 // 4
1. Maybelline Better Skin Concealer...this product has seriously changed how I look at Maybelline concealers! Of course I do love this undereye concealer, but I haven't found a great oil-free concealer from the brand until now. No longer am I going to jump the gun and purchase my favorite $29 NARS creamy concealer, but I am instead purchasing this product. It covers up everything you need to hide--imperfections, dark circles, redness, unevenness, and dark spots! I am thoroughly impressed with the thick consistency of this concealer, and how it smooths over your skin and hides everything you want to cover up in one easy swipe. I have the color "fair" which is a great match for my complexion.

2. Maybelline Fit Me Bronzer...I suggest this product if you are someone who is looking for a light dust of color on your skin at a super affordable price point. I picked this product up {along with the concealer I just raved about!} when I used a $4 off $15 coupon in Maybelline products at CVS. The bronzer is lightly pigmented so it may take a few strokes to see some color on your face, but it does apply nicely and gives a healthy glow. I like how it is oil-free and under $6.00!

3. Clinique All About Shadow Duo 'Blackberry Frost'...although this is not an item from the drugstore, I have to mention how much I love these two colors. I have blue eyes so normally I stick to golden bronzy tones but somehow I love the combination of purple and slate! Clinique has a ton of color combinations that are beautifully pigmented and are long-wearing. Blending it together with the 'slate' color at the corners of your eyes gives the best smoked-out look that is still casual enough for the daytime. This one is $21 from Macy's, and I am almost hitting pan with it!

4.Kate Moss Rimmel London Lipstick in "30"...this shade is not quite as dark as the Rimmel London 107 lipstick, but rather more cool-berry toned. It is a matte shade and is a great pick for the fall! I loved wearing it this weekend--pictures to come shortly!--with my new skirt and blouse for outfit pictures. I am not the best at keeping my lipstick neat, though! I have such a hard time eating and keeping my lipstick from smudging, but nonetheless this lipstick was fun to wear. Ulta is selling it for $5.49 which is a steal for a nice plum berry lipstick! Thanks for stopping by!

SHOP THE POST:

printed shift dress

I found this dress in the clearance area of my local Target last week! Even though it was sold as something to wear during the summer months, I think I can definitely incorporate it into my fall wardrobe. Simply layering it with a denim jacket can transform the look from summer to fall! The price point was so great--it was less than $8.00. The material is also lightweight so it fits well with Florida's "cold in the morning, hot in the afternoon" weather right now.

My shoes (!!) are a new obsession. Have you seen various variations of them all over your Instagram like I am!? I challenged myself to find a pair that were similar and under $20.00 and I did! These black lace-up flats are from Charlotte Russe, and over the weekend they had take an additional 40% off shoes so they were $15.40. *Tip: sign up for their emails to receive free shipping!* I am in love with how they fit and how easy they are to pair with this outfit and with skinny jeans! Online they were just reduced from $25 to $20 so act FAST because they will sell out like this pair I also bought! Have a great weekend, friends! This weekend my Mom and my sister are visiting me at school, so be sure to keep up with all the shopping + food adventures on my Twitter and Instagram accounts linked below.

vibrant hi-rise leggings

This outfit has some vibrant and colorful printed leggings from American Eagle which are great for long school days. The paisley detailing and stretchy fabric make these leggings the first pair I am wearing for the fall! They are also currently on sale, so make sure to check them out in the variety of colors that they are sold in. My cozy white t-shirt is also American Eagle, and I love how it has two slits on either side of it so I can show off these leggings, because they are hi-rise. My bag is not new to the blog because I have been posting a lot of blog pictures wearing it as of late! It is just the best cross-body bag I could have purchased--not only was it affordable at $22.90, but it looks exactly like the $195 Rebecca Minkoff mini mac! It fits my wallet, phone, and even my phone charger so on days when I don't need to carry around my backpack I use this!
