cheap glam glow dupes

As a beauty lover and subscriber to many popular YouTube stars I'm familiar with raved about products. These products are usually sold in high end stores like Sephora and Ulta. The price points of these items can vary from $20 to over $100. One of the beauty community's favorite mud masks is sold by the brand GlamGlow. This brand has evolved over the years by introducing several new expansions for many skin needs.

The original 'GlamGlow' Youthmud Tinglexfoliate mask is good for all skin types to provide resurfacing exfoliation and tighten pores. It will absorb excess oils without stripping the skin of moisture. At $69, this product is on the expensive end of face masks. It has 40,000 loves on Sephora's website and a 4/5 star rating at Ulta.

I have personally tried this mask via samples from Sephora (the best way to try anything!) and I like it, but not enough to buy it. It starts out as a charcoal gray color and over time it gradually hardens and exposes all your pores! Although that particular mask is not one of my favorites, for some time I used GlamGlow Supercleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser and loved it! That one is $39 and lasts for quite some time! It is similar to the mud mask but the product is dispensed through a pump and lathers up to dissolve makeup and cleanse the skin.

glamglow mask

I've tried out TWO amazing dupes that are wayyy less $$ than the GlamGlow masks! The first one is the Enlite Super Face Clay Time mask from CVS. It retails for $19.99 and I bought it for $13 because I had a $7 coupon to use!

They share the same ingredients: Kaolin, Charcoal powder, and combinations of grape seed oil and essential oil extracts from green tea and chamomile.

Another dupe is less than $2.00! If you want more than just a one time use a huge tube of this mask is $3.85 at Ulta right now! It is Freeman Feeling Beautiful Charcoal & Black Sugar Mask. This brand is one of my favorites from the drugstore. I used to use the polishing sugar scrub ($3.99) on a weekly basis and should repurchase it after I've used up this mask! This mask is scarily similar to other ones listed above. It does the same thing as the $69 one which is amazing!

I hope this post helped you see how many affordable dupes there are for higher-end products! I am going to try to find some more to share in the future. Happy masking!

crochet shorts & a new kate spade crossbody

I have a love for crochet shorts that just won't quit! These are the latest addition to my summer wardrobe--a pair from Plato's Closet for super cheap because my local store was marking down items 50% off. The detailed lace trim on this pair is a nice feminine touch and the bright turquoise color stands out for the season. These similar Forever 21 crochet hem shorts are under $13, these red Forever 21 lace shorts are $14.90, and these Aerie crochet trim shorts are reduced from $30 to $14.97! A neutral top balances out the brightly colored shorts and this soft tee from Aeropostale is something I own in two colors.

I am also introducing a new bag purchase in this post--a gorgeous Kate Spade crossbody! I am into girly prints and I love floral-printed anything so when I was snooping around the Kate Spade surprise sale a few weeks ago this bag caught my eye. After searching for quite some time I decided to buy it. It was marked down to around $80 and I had a $30 credit to apply to it so the bag came out to around $50! I am starting to use it this week when I am out and about to see if it fits all of my things comfortably. Thanks so much for visiting the blog today!

feeling blue

Hi friends! The last few days have me missing the weekend. I got to spend some time with my sister (we saw the new movie Me Before You) and go boating! This week, however, there is a tropical storm headed to Florida. The rain might prevent me from taking more outfit pictures which is upsetting because I recently picked up some new things to share.

Onto this look above: my favorite color is blue and this top from American Eagle is only $15! I tucked it into these denim shorts. This look is very summertime appropriate. I own too many of these "soft & sexy" tops from American Eagle! Make sure to check back soon for more looks!

1. NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick // 2. Physician's Formula Talc-Free Mineral Wear Loose Powder // 3. BellaPierre Gel Lip Liner in Nude // 4. bareMinerals blush in "Daybreak"  // 5. Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous concealer in Light // 6. Rimmel London Natural Bronzer

May was filled with trying new beauty products. Usually I stick to my regular routine, but this month I stepped out of my comfort zone of Maybelline Fit Me foundation and tried the Physician's Formula Talc-Free Mineral Wear Loose Powder. This powder has been an everyday item for me. I usually wear it under liquid foundations or just by itself. I bought the "translucent" one because I have such light skin that even the "fair" shade looked too dark for me! I also like that it is a mineral powder with no talc. I pour the powder into the oval lid and stipple it into my skin for a fresh long-lasting look.

I've been coveting two different lip products for the past few weeks. Ever since my best friend introduced me to NYX's new lip products I've been as obsessed as she is. I own two NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks, one in the shade 'Tea and Cookies"(a muted tea rose pink) and one in the shade "Soft-Spoken"  (a mauve nude). Both are awesome matte lip products that are seriously comparable to the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit ones in my opinion! They leave your lips feeling velvety soft and the waterproof formula makes it last. Another lip product I love is the Bellapierre gel lip liner in "nude". This is another wonderful formula that helps line your lips in a few smooth strokes. You can also fill your lips in with the liner to let it double as a lipstick, which I often do!

A few more face products that I loved in the month of May include a bareMinerals blush in the color "Daybreak". It is a soft ruddy pink that compliments my favorite bronzer, the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer. I sweep the bronzer on first and add some of the blush right on top of it. This has been my essential summer makeup look! After I apply my foundation I pop on some concealer to hide my dark circles and a recent fave is the Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous concealer in Light. I wanted to try something from the "Ready, Set Gorgeous" line and the concealer had the most positive reviews online. I like how it melts into my skin and is easily set into place with my loose powder for all-day coverage!
