under $50: nordstrom anniversay sale favorites

Pretty much every blogger is posting about their favorite picks from the #NSale, or Nordstrom Anniversary Sale right about now. A few months ago I signed up for the new Nordstrom Rewards program and was gifted $10 to spend before August, so I personally have been scouring the sales for my own shopping benefit! While looking, I did find some pretty amazing deals--how about some Adidas Superstar Sneakers on sale from $80 down to $59!? And tons of Kendra Scott pieces, like this necklace I own, are almost half off, too. Shop all of my favorites {and potential purchases!} below!

Skirt: Hollister {similar BCBGeneration Pencil Skirt only $27
Bag: Forever 21, old {similar favorite for $20}

Navy is one of my favorite colors to wear. I am loving this skirt I recently bought from Hollister for under $12 that just so happens to be a gorgeous navy lace pattern. Unlike some skirts that can be itchy with a lace fabric, this one is super soft and easy to walk in. To wear it as a casual look, I paired it with a simple Aero striped tee. Tying it at the bottom also keeps the shirt from looking too baggy. White accessories in the form of my Kendra Scott necklace and white crossbody bag complete this summertime outfit. Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic day!

black + white casual look

Top: Forever 21 // Skirt: Old Navy Gingham Flared Skirt {on sale! $5, similar for $12}
Crossbody Bag: Forever 21 {old, similar saddle bag $20} // Choker: JCPenney

I love gingham and this skirt was just $5 from Old Navy! This print is one of my favorites and is such a great summertime pick. Whenever I don't feel like wearing shorts I'll put this skirt on. It also makes a nice outfit for the evening. A simple white t-shirt and black choker complete today's very neutral look. I added some more favorites for you to check out below! I also want to mention that over the weekend I met Aspyn Ovard from YouTube in Clearwater at the ULTA store! She is honestly so sweet in person and talked to us for so long! I posted a photo of when my friend and I met her on my Intsagram.

Belt: Double Buckle Belt from a local boutique {but this one from Nordstrom is only $12}

I remember seeing double buckle belts popping up all over my Instagram feed. I told myself I wouldn't purchase one unless I found a great bargain--and I finally did! I went to a favorite boutique of mine, The Shop, and found the one I am wearing for $16. It's the perfect accessory for 70s vibes. My ripped jeans are a steal at $25, too! The material is wonderfully stretchy and they fit really well. I hate shopping for jeans so when I find a pair that fit, I tend to invest if I can afford to! Also, I am tapping into the latest trend with my black choker. I think if I wear them with the right outfit they can work and I can achieve the 'edgy' look I want. These are a few favorites I want to buy: A simple choker with a rhinestone pendant, $3.90; a shiny gold medallion one for $4.90; and a faux suede double stranded one for $5.90.

the best summer deals

Right now some major department stores are putting a ton of merchandise on clearance! Whether it be a trendy sweater from the winter season or super fun bikini separates, places like Old Navy, J.Crew, American Eagle, Nordstrom, and many more are continuing to slash prices. I've rounded up some favorites and posted them all below! Happy shopping!

J.Crew, how I wish I could always afford you. There are some items from the J.Crew Factory and the regular J.Crew store that are on sale right now. I own these shorts and they go with any top in my closet! These brown sandals are under $30, too.

American Eagle usually runs great deals on their clearance items. Sometimes they do free shipping online, too! $12 white denim shorts? Yes! Blue denim cut-offs for under $23? Sounds fantastic!

Nordstrom is also having some incredible deals at the moment. Tons of cute summery tops and dresses are very affordable! This navy shift dress is under $15, this white bucket tote is $25, these comfy denim skinny jeans are under $35, and this 70s inspired button-down skirt is under $25!

fourth of july 2016 recap

 Dress: Lilly Pulitzer Esmeralda Seersucker Plaid {similar $84 Lilly dress}
{from resale shop, Plato's Closet for $20! And find more options below}

Top: Blu Spero {super similar bell-sleeve one from Forever 21, $12.90 //
eyelet one from American Eagle, $23.97}

The Fourth of July holiday may be over, but I'm still celebrating with this outfit post today! Over the long holiday weekend I spent most of my time hanging out with my best friend Nicole who is featured above. She was visiting from Orlando and we went all over town on Saturday {a few Instagram snaps captured our time together!}. When Monday rolled around I chose to wear a new dress I purchased when we stopped in our local Plato's Closet. This Lilly Pulitzer number still had the tags attached and retailed for $164! I only paid $20 for it on the bright side. Nicole also french braided my hair and I absolutely loved it! When Florida's humidity strikes, pulling your hair back in any way possible really helps. She wore a new top from Blu Spero which was on the sale rack, but I found some more off-the-shoulder tops that are just as affordable {Forever 21 and American Eagle picks can be found under her photo}. We spent the day relaxing and I created some "healthy" chocolate nutella cups for us to snack on.

Blush/Bronzer: Pacifica Sollar Palette

I'm back with another outfit post today! This is honestly all I wear during the summer months: a striped top, white denim shorts, and a crossbody bag. I found my Aeropostale top in the sale section for $3.99. It feels comfortable enough to last all day without feeling sticky in the heat. These white denim shorts are also stretchy and SO cheap! There are tons of similar options toward the end of this post to check out, too.
I've also been trying out some new makeup items. The foundation I have on is Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)able Foundation, Full Coverage Ivory Light. It is quite expensive but I can not get enough of it! It covers every single thing you need to hide whether it be redness, blemishes, or dark under eyes. I also purchased a new palette from Pacifica, a brand that uses natural minerals and ingredients. This palette has hightlighters, a blush and bronzer, and six gorgeously pigmented eyeshadows.  And lastly my lipstick is quickly becoming an everyday essential. NYX has some incredible makeup items and their lipsticks are no exception. It is a dupe for the Kylie Jenner Lipstick 'Candy K'. This one is way more attainable and still holds its matte finish for hours on end. It also is $7!
