How To Wear Yellow in the Summertime

Outfit Details:

Over the weekend, I spent some time with a fellow blogger friend named Jen in the cute and quaint town of Dunedin. She runs her own fashion blog, Charm In the Mundane, where she highlights a bit of her life going to business school in Philly and her adventures back home in Florida.

Dunedin a great charm about it and features so many wonderful shops and cafes! One cafe in particular that had a great lunch selection was called the Sandpiper Cafe and Gifts. While there I enjoyed a pork sandwich and delicious glass of iced tea.

It really is starting to feel like summer again here in Florida because I was wearing my hair down and curled for the day and could instantly feel the humidity sink in once I left the air-conditioned cafe to wander around the town. Although the humidity is wonderful for our skin, it really does do a number on my hair! I usually just throw it up in a bun, but for my photoshoot, I wanted to add some pretty curls.

Let’s talk outfit details: For this yellow maxi dress look, I partnered with a boutique from Marianna, Florida called A Wild Hair Salon and Boutique. This chic boutique is a full-service Paul Mitchell Focus Salon and Spa with a storefront boutique area including some of the summer’s major trends.

The boutique has men's clothing, women's tops, women's bottoms, flowy dresses, Simply Southern items and even more accessories.

I'm so happy they sent me this mustard floral high low dress from their Boutique!  I'm continuing to embrace the beauty of wearing such a sunny yellow color this year. I used to stay away from yellow because I felt like it would wash me out with my pale skin, however, I've decided to mix it into my everyday outfits.

Since I dyed my hair a bit darker I think I can pull off mustard yellow now! This highlow dress is still available online so make sure to visit www.awildhairboutique.com to see their entire selection of adorable fashion items.

How to Style Yellow For Summer

Wearing yellow can be tricky, especially when you want to wear it to STAND OUT, instead of blend in! I think yellow can be worn quite a few ways.

Here is how I wear my vibrant yellow pieces for some daily inspiration:
